Symbol Seeker is now a world standard. There are over 100,000 copies in circulation world wide.

Created in 1982, the original concept of the Symbol Seeker was generated as a consequence of the author's attendance on a professional Fire Officers' HAZMAT course at the UK Fire Service College. The purpose was to eliminate the inability of Fire Officers and other first responders to recall all of the extensive number of hazard marking systems used on devices and transport packaging systems. The first and all subsequent Editions was researched, collated, illustrated, and originated by the Author who continues to self finance and self publish.

In 1982 the First Edition was produced and retailed through the British Safety Council and Angus Fire Armor in the United Kingdom.

In 1990 the entire format was redesigned and expanded. The stylized words Symbol Seeker were registered as a world TradeMark. In addition the pages were laminated to permit 'wet hands' use. These pages were later amended to semi matt gloss to reduce reflection in certain street lighting conditions.

In 1999 Symbol Seeker Publications released it's second product - The Landmine Safety Seeker. The Landmine Safety Seeker is designed to provide individuals working in potential mine zones, with key strategies and recognition material for protection against the deadly worldwide threat of landmines.
